Korea Town Police Station Will Be Established in LA

A bill for the issuance of 600 million dollar public bonds by the LA City government to establish a Korea Town police station in LA among many other projects were approved by slight 0.13 percent lead. According to the bill, the Korea Town Police Station will open in 2004.

According to LA County Election Commission, the poll on the bill ( issuance of public bonds for the improvement of security facilities) was approved by 66.79 percent (226,555 pros) to 33.21 percent (112,636 cons).

The bill includes an issuance of public bonds of 600 million dollars to establish a Police Station in Korea Town, which is covered by three different police stations nearby, and to improve the emergency rescue system.

James Lee, the press secretary of LA Police Department, said, “it`s a great news to the Koreans. Korean Town will be a safer place to live under the security system of one police station.”
