[Opinion] Mobilization Politics and `Political Investigation`

Results of people who will vote for candidates of NMDP in major elections in Cheju will be reveled after 4 days.

`Political investigation` of NMDP, which is like weed root politics, seems to be fresher than closet politics or boss politics.

However, chronic disease like mobilization politics with the fresh wind is prevailing like cancer.

Dark shadow is appearing in `political investigations` of NMDP.

`Confession` of Kim Geum Tae, advisor of NMDP that `I spent 200 million won of illegal fund for election` is not such a surprising thing.

Every body considers it as natural.

Which politician will not use illegal fund for election?

Nevertheless, his `confession` raises the interest.

Advisor Kim forecasts us melancholy that `political investigation` of NMDP will be full of illegal fund for election, if it goes on like this.

Even if it were not so, talk about money is appearing already.

There are several rumors that some one received thousands of applications for participating in elections and some one is mobilizing thousands not only in Cheju Island but also many nationwide.

Organized mobilization like this is bound to `call money`, `corruption election` surely.

Number of voters in States New Hampshire where preliminary election for President of U.S. will be held for the first time is 700,000 persons, as 260,000 belongs to the Grand Old party, 200,000 to democratic party , and the rest belongs to independents.

Anybody, whether he is from Democratic Party or GOP, can over turn the situation as it is a small election district.

It seems to be very easy to control 200,000~ 3000,000 voters of its own party in comparison to huge fund and capacity for organization of U.S. Presidential Election.

However, no U.S. candidate of major election in history have done like that.

If they try mobilization or buying votes, voters can accuse the candidate in person and it can be a fatal strike for him.

We can see candidate`s speech and supporter group in preliminary elections in state New Hampshire, too.

However most supporters are volunteers who like simply the candidate as there are no methodical mobilization, audience is only hundred in numbers.

Seeing list of election expenditure of U.S. President it is assured that there is no methodical mobilization.

Above 60 percent of election expenditure is used for TV AD, and expenditure for recruitment of election experts and investigating people`s opinion is only up to 20percent

Rest 20 percent is for election fund and for raising up fund.

It is contrary to our election atmosphere in which management of organization makes up more than 50 percent.

Of course, the main category will be expenditure for mobilizing voters.

Let us see this election of NMDP in Cheju Island.

As competition for mobilization is set fire to those who applied for participation in elections on behalf of each candidate were 17,000.

Even some application forms that have same handwriting style were discovered in hundreds.

Thousands of application forms were submitted mostly on the closing date by each candidate`s side.

How many people filled application form by their own hands and went to NMDP office?

The problem is that whether such application forms in piles were made by `empty hands`.

There is a saying of one official who is working for one candidate with a sigh,¡° 7 credit cards of mine got blocked…..I spent melancholy yesterday because one junior official who is close to me and used to call me `brother` called up abusing, `hey, XX, why don`t you send money? How can I manage the organization? ¡°.

Current election system of NMDP can`t help having big side-effects.

To secure more voters, it should make `mother group` which the Electoral College will be selected for `its own field` as much as it can.

The more it mobilizes submission of application form, the more `its person` can be elected to the electoral college.

So it is natural that it concentrates on mobilizing.

It seems that NMDP also doesn`t take such mobilization seriously.

It seems that they consider it as one procedure for reinforcing people`s support and power of party.

However, no matter how the style is, mobilization politics is the most undeveloped country style.

Whether it is threat by power, or temptation using money and advantage, or by fanatical organization, anything distorts democracy and makes it sick.

It is the best way for voters to refuse mobilization by themselves.

Voters should keep fame and pride that they will not be dragged.

If voters are not shaken, it will not succeed no matter how candidates try mobilization or buying votes.

However our voter is not the voter of New Hampshire, this is the problem.

Isn`t there some countermeasure or device to dig the root of mobilization politics in `political investigation` of NMDP, which is showing the sign of corruption?
