DJ and JP Meet Today

President Kim Dae-Jung and Kim Jong-Pil, the president of the United Liberal Democrats, will meet today to discuss the current issues related with the national administration and the politics in the Cheong Wa Dae.

Oh Hong-Geun, Spokesperson of Cheong Wa Dae announced that "President Kim Dae-Jung has met with various representative leaders in Korean society and this meeting is one of them."

Chung Jin-Seok, spokesperson of ULD, explained that "Lee Sang-Joo Chief Secretary to the President visited the house of president Kim JP yesterday and made an appointment."

Both Kims have not met with each other since the secret meeting on July 9th of last year and it is the first meeting after the DJP coalition fell apart in September of last year. The meeting is especially attracting public attention since the meeting is held in the midst of the controversies about the reorganization of the political structure in the ruling side.

Spokesperson Oh explained that "President Kim Dae-Jung will meet with the social leaders from each sector of Korean society and requested a meeting with Lee Hoi-Chang, the president of the Grand National Party, for August 15 last year." revealing the President`s intention to meet with Mr. Lee whenever Lee wants to.
