“Public Officials Involved in Venture Corruption Too Ashamed to Face the Public“

In the year`s first cabinet meeting on the 8th, President Kim Dae-Jung said, "Venture corruptions should be scraped away without mercy. Take advantage of this opportunity to strike a hard blow to the person who abuses national policy."

President Kim added, "I am ashamed of myself before the nation, because some thoughtless venture businessperson caused troubles, putting the government at a loss, and unfortunately some public officials are involved in the corruption."

President Kim said, "Venture companies should try to clean themselves up, and the government should prevent such corruptions in venture businesses by distinguishing the wheat from the weeds and by finding out what has yet to be exposed."

President Kim instructed, "Take concrete and definitive measures to address housing problems like soaring prices of apartments in certain areas. The government must try to prevent the problem from making a negative impact on prices and to comfort the nation."
