Broadcasting College and Cyber College Are to Be Benefited by the Delay of Army Enlistment

The two-year college, like the four-year college, will be able to operate the joint degree program with foreign colleges beginning in the new semester next year.

The government reviewed and voted for the revised bill on the high education enforcement at a cabinet meeting presided over by President Kim Dae-Jung on 26th.

According to the revised bill, the two-year college can select students who reenter the two-year college after graduating from the four-year college through a separate admission quota.

The cabinet meeting bestowed a favor on the delay of army enlistment to the students of the broadcasting college and cyber college, while passed the revised bill on the military service law according to which those who are in the medicine related doctoral program can replace the military service by assigning them as the professional researchers.

The cabinet meeting also reviewed the stock related collective lawsuit bill, and allowed the minimum number of 50 victims to file a collective lawsuit on four violations including company`s window-dressing, false notification, manipulation of stock price, and the use of information that is not known to the public.

In the case of window-dressing and false notification, victims can file a collective lawsuit against the company that has minimum asset of 2 trillion won, and in the case of manipulation of stock price and the use of the information that is not known to the public, victims can file a lawsuit against a company regardless of the amount of its asset.
