Japan Coast Guard Fires, Hits Unidentified Boat

Japan coast guard vessel chases an unidentified boat, which intruded into Japan`s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and tried to escape on Dec. 22, 2001. The mystery ship, which was presumed to be a North Korean spy boat, sank after an armed confrontation with Japanese coast guard ships.
