“NMDP Is Positively Considering“ Personnel Hearing for Prosecutors General

The New Millennium Democratic Party (NMDP) decided on 17th to consider positively the plan that the personnel hearing in the National Assembly would include the Prosecutor General.

Lee Nak-Yon, the spokesperson of NMDP announced that many lawmakers including Kim Keun-Tae urged for the expanded cadre caucus in NMDP office on 17 that the top Prosecutor should be included in the list of the Hearings. And Rep. Han Kwang-Ok said, "This idea should be positively considered."

NMDP decided to discuss the matter in the Special Committee for Politics Reformation and The Executives Meeting. An Executive of NMDP said, "Some had an opinion that it is unconstitutional that the Prosecutor General attend the Hearings. But most stood for the acceptance of the Hearings for the sake of the political reformation. And a positive reconsideration will be made."
