The Grand National Party (GNP) demanded for the resignation of all cabinet and the apology of the president, as it was disclosed that regarding the capital punishment on a Korean, the Chinese government had notified the fact that it sentenced the death penalty.

GNP Secretary General Kim Ki-Bae maintained yesterday that it was a national shame, and President Kim Dae Jung should carry out the radical reforms on the political sector to settle the current deadlock by reshuffling the cabinet.

GNP Floor Leader Lee Jao-Oh also urged the resignation of all cabinet and the apology of the president, saying, ``The current government lacks both the proper foreign and internal policies on the whole. Nevertheless, the ruling party has been immersed only in the power struggle.``

The GNP plans to grill thoroughly the responsibility by convening the committee for unification, foreign affairs and trade on 6th.

The United Liberal Democrats (ULD) Spokesperson Jung Jin-Seok urged for the severe reprimand on the responsible officials, saying, ``The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade dealt with the situation inattentively, clearly showing the slackened feature of the current government. Peoples fell into a state of lethargy by the betrayal of the government against its own people.``

The New Millennium Democratic Party Spokesperson Jeon Yong-Hak said, ``It is regrettable that the staffs of the consulate dealt with the issue carelessly overlooking the seriousness of it.``
