Farm Disease Shocked Britain

The dreadful foot and mouth disease is spreading through Britain again. As 8 new cases were discovered on 27th in Northumberland where there had been no report of the outbreak of farm disease for the last a few months, the total of cases in the recent outbreak reached 13 for last five days in this area.

In the midst of sparking fears, the infection has spread to other farms and thousands of livestock were slaughtered and the `draconian` restrictions have now been imposed upon the area of 900 km2.

The government veterinarians plan to inspect all farms within 16 kilometer around the newly infected area for the next ten days. It is reported that 6,000 sheep and 1,000 cows may have to be additionally slaughtered within the zone.

The farmers are worried that the disease may be spreading much faster, in case if the disease continues till the winter. The outbreak of the farm disease is increasing the fear among the Scottish farmers who have hoped to resume the exports in the northern area of Nothumberland which had been disease-free for three months.
