Rep. Park Yang-Soo of the New Millennium Democratic Party filed a lawsuit against the Chosun Ilbo, which had indicated Rep. Park as the composer of the so-called `constitutional revision document`, for the charge of defamation.

Rep. Park asserted, ``the document that the Chosun had reported was forged by a third party to damage the NMDP and myself. I cannot help but suing the Chosun Ilbo and the reporter for the defamation of my character.``

Rep. Park also remarked that ``only document that I made is `Problems and Improving Plans for Election of Candidates for Local Congresspersons, Heads of Local Governments, and President Elections in 2002`,which includes the general procedures of the representative elections and other administrative details. The so-called constitutional revision document and the document for the single nomination of the three parties in the ruling coalition for the presidential candidate that the Chosun Ilbo had reported on 9th and 10th respectively have nothing to do with me.``

However, the Chosun Ilbo insisted that ``Rep. Park is the writer of the document, `Political Timetable Henceforth`, in addition to such documents as `Review on the Election of Presidential Candidate 2002`, `Problems and Improving Plans for Election of Candidates for Local Congresspersons, Heads of Local Governments, and President Elections in 2002`, and Report on Result of Public Opinion Analysis.``

Meanwhile, Kwon Chul-Hyun, the spokesperson of the Grand National Party, said that ``if Rep. Park who is in charge of the party`s organization made the document, it must be made by the order of President Kim.`` Rep. Kwon demanded the explanation of the President and raised 10 questions in public.
