Doosan Received Order of $800 Million From UAE

The Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction Co. made a $800 million contract of the desalination and power plant which will be constructed in Fujairah City, with the UOG Co. which is the national enterprise of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the capital of the UAE, Abu Dhabi on 30th last month.

This is the world`s largest desalination facility construction project including a desalination plant capable of producing 100 gallons of desalinated water per day and a complex thermoelectric power plant with a capacity of 660 Megawatts. The Doosan have to complete this project until 2003.

With the acceptance of this order, the Doosan has received the orders of the desalination plant of 340 million gallons in total (based on the producing capacity per day) since 1990, and will be able to maintain the world`s first place in the desalination facility market.
