Myung Film Chosen As One of 10 Producers To Watch

The U.S. entertainment magazine `Variety` selected Representative Shim Jae-Myung and Producer Lee Eun of Myung Film Co., Ltd., who are a married couple, as one of the 10 producers to watch.

The `Variety` recently published a Cannes Film Festival special edition that covers the worldwide famous producers. The Shims were the only producer selected in Asia.

The magazine named the Shims ``a power couple of the Korean movie industry`` and reported that Myung Film has produced high quality films such as The Quiet Family (1998), Happyend, and JSA (Joint Security Area).

The `Variety` did rank the selected producers but introduced the Shims at eighth in ranking.

Robert Nathan, the producer of `Rush` presented at the Sundance Film Festival 2000

Martin Farbinyi of `Mushroom Pictures`

Chris Bender and J. C. Spink of `Bender Spink`

Philippe Bobber of `Lovely Rita,` presented to the Cannes Film Festival

Deborah Martin Chase of `The Princess Diary`

Daniel Hotzebar, produced three out of all-7 movies of Slovenia this year

Francisco Gonzales Compean and Martha Sosa of `Amores Perros,` who have won 30 prizes worldwide since last year.
