The Dr. Rector in ``Hannibal``, the `pretty woman` Julia Roberts, and even Bred Pitt could not break the box office record that Buddies has set. When the films like ``Hannibal``, ``Mexican``, and ``Failan`` were released on April 28, it was predicted that these films would overtake the box office record that ``Friend`` has kept for four weeks. However, ``Friend`` is still keeping the top box office record. Total 204,100 people saw the film ``Friend`` in Seoul alone, while 121,500 for ``Hannibal``. Total 101,000 people saw the film ``Mexican``. It is now widely predicted that ``Friend`` will set the box office record in domestic run.
