Vietnam delivers 5000 tons of rice to NK

The Vietnamese government delivered 5000 tons of rice worth $1 million as ``cooperative materials`` to North Korea, Thursday. A ceremony to mark the delivery of the rice was held at the People`s Cultural Palace in Pyongyang, the North Korean Central Broadcasting Station reported.

From the North Korean side, Ri Yong-Sok, vice chairman of the North Korean anti-flood measures committee, and other officials participated in the function. The Vietnamese participants were members of the government delegation taking part in the 19th Friendship Arts Festival of Spring in April and the ambassador to Pyongyang.
