The procurement headquarters of the Defense Ministry said Wednesday that online bids would be invited on and after Apr. 2 upon the completion of an Internet-based procurement system.
Under the new electronic commerce system, developed by the headquarters, applications will be received on its homepage (www.dpa.go.kr) and successful bidders will be announced on the Internet.
Bidders would be given a authorization code upon registering with a publicly accredited certifying institution approved by the ministry of information and communication, then obtain a code and key from defense procurement authorities.
Electronic processing of all bidding procedures would ensure full transparency and get rid of irregularities, serving to cut the cost and time bidders have to spend, officials said.
