Pak Se-Ri shot an amazing 25-under-par in the LPGA Standard Register, but lost the tournament by two strokes to Annika Sorenstam of Sweden.

Pak began the fourth and final round Monday (Korean time) with a three-stroke disadvantage to Sorenstam in the event, held at the Moon Valley Golf Course in Phoenix, Arizona. The Korean golfer, who finished the third round at 9-under-par, holed nine birdies on the front nine to cut the gap to just one stroke. After that, Pak could only manage to make par until the 14th hole, when she scored her sixth birdie of the day and drew even with Sorenstam at 26-under-par. But a bogey on the 177-yard (161-meter) 15th hole was Pak`s undoing as Sorenstam scored a birdie, thus assuring herself a two-stroke lead and eventually the title.
