The third round of talks between the South and North Korean Red Cross societies will be held Jan. 29-31 at Mt. Kumgang in North Korea, the Korea National Red Cross (KNRC) said Monday.

Officials said that the KNRC sent a message signed by its president, Suh Young-Hoon, to accept the North¡¯s offer on the meeting.

In the telegram, addressed to his North Korean counterpart Jang Jae-On, Suh called for meeting attendees to discuss and completely settle issues such as the establishment of meeting places for separated families, fixed ways of locating relatives, and the expansion of mail exchanges.

Pointing out that the South proposed through liaison officials on Jan. 12 a specific schedule for events involving separated families, Suh called on the North to clarify its position on the proposal as soon as possible.
