GNP official to attend Bush inauguration

Representing the opposition Grand National Party (GNP), vice president of the opposition GNP Park Geun-Hye will attend the inaugural ceremony of President-elect George W. Bush in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 20 local time.

The opposition GNP revealed Wednesday that the decision to send its party's vice-president Park and another member, Rep. Hyun Seung-Il, at the behest of the Korea-America Lawmakers Diplomacy Association (president Yoo Jae-Gun, Millennium Democratic Party). The GNP added that the selection of vice president Park came with a strong recommendation by party president Lee Hoi-Chang.
