The North Korean media, including the Korean Central Broadcasting Agency and Radio Pyongyang, are increasingly reporting on South Korea by quoting South Korean press sites on the Internet.

In November, the North Korean media attributed only news item on the South to the Internet, but in the period of Dec. 12-15, such quotations increased to seven.

North Korea used to say that the news it delivered to North Koreans was based on broadcasting from Seoul or reports from South Korea. In early November it began to mention the Internet as an information source.

North Korea most frequently cited the Web site of Hankyoreh newspaper (four of the seven reports), followed by Yonhap News (2) and the Joongang Ilbo (1).
