Private First Class Lee Chang-Hoon, 22, graduated from a high school in Seoul in early 1996 and attended the University of Maryland, majoring in business management, as his family had immigrated to the state of Virginia.

As his parents moved to the United States under investment-immigration status, he instantly obtained a green card.

However, he abandoned his permanent residence in the United States in February last year and immediately submitted his application for military service. He is serving in the Republic of Korea Army.
