GM to consider buying Daewoo Motor piecemeal

GM CEO Rick Wagner revealed Thursday that GM could buy Daewoo Motor piecemeal. Attending the 2000 Paris Motor show in the Port de Versailles exhibition hall, Wagner asserted that the final decision would be made after an accurate evaluation of the company.

He further asserted that he has been constantly keeping a keen eye on the issue of the acquisition of insolvent Daewoo Motor and added that he would monitor the situation further before making any decisions.

Wagner explained that GM is currently following the Daewoo situation closely and is in constant contact with bidding authorities in Korea.
