The economic policy of the government is distrusted by the people, according to a survey.

A survey conducted recently by Weekly Dong-A, a weekly magazine published by Dong-A Ilbo, jointly with professional research firm Research & Research showed that 67.1% of respondents said that the corporate reform and restructuring of the government is not successful.

As for the reform of the four major sectors of conglomerates -- the public sector, the financial sector and labor -- which is scheduled to be carried forward through February next year, 58.8% replied that it wouldn't be successful vs. 36.8% who said that it would be successful.

Also, 67% of respondents said that they do not trust the capability of the current economic team to cope with the economic crisis. When asked what the single biggest problem facing the current government was, 15.1% said amplification of the economic crisis and 10.1% said inflation.
