Korea First Bank to start ad blitz

Korea First Bank is planning to launch an aggressive marketing campaign starting Sept. 1 with a massive advertising blitz, as well as introduction of new banking products.

Bank officials said that Korea First hardly has placed advertising lately because of internal restructuring, noting that it would actively promote its new image. Thanks to the government`s pouring of nearly 10 trillion won in public funds, in addition to the purchase of more non-performing assets, by the end of next year, Korea First generated 147.5 billion won in net profit during the first half of this year. Financial circles have commented that nothing has changed except the introduction of foreign capital.

Realizing the situation, the bank budgeted 5 billion won for advertising and will place ads in a massive way. The ad campaign theme copy is, "We will return your tax."
