The high-ranking State Department official, whose name was withheld, said that United States will hold talks with China in Beijing July 7-8 about preventing proliferation of mass destruction weapons to discuss matters related to North Korean missiles.

The U.S. delegation, led by John Holum, chief adviser for the Secretary of State Madline Ulbright on weapons control, is expected to ask Chinese officials for its support to the U.S. efforts to deter North Korea`s development of missiles.

It was reported that their discussion would also touch on the suspicion that China has been exporting missile parts and technology to Pakistan.
