Book Festival

Diverse events designed to raise public awareness about the value of books and prints were held nationwide to commemorate the World Book and Copyright Day by UNESCO. Visitors to the Nami Island International Children’s Book Festival 2006 in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, are walking on a “road of books” made of acrylic planks and picture books. The event, hosted by the Korean committee of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY), mainly exhibits children’s books and original illustrations and will be held until June 3.
