Dong-A Ilbo confirmed yesterday that after failing to be promoted to the rank of commissioner, Commissioner General appointee Lee Taek-soon filed false residential registrations at least twice, including one to receive “energy” from Bukhan Mountain.

Was Lee Promoted By the Energy Emanating from Bukhan Mountain?-

On April 27, 1999, Lee transferred his home address from Shindaebang-dong, Dongjak-gu, Seoul to the address of a high school junior classmate in Donam-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.

Lee’s side explained, “After failing to be promoted to commissioner in late 1998, Lee suffered from immense stress and health problems so his high school classmate told him that if he moved to Bukhan Mountain, his chi would be restored and things would work out.” Although Lee moved his address, he did not actually live in the house of his high school classmate.

Seven months after transferring his address, Lee was promoted to commissioner and left his address as his classmates’ address for another year.

Before this incident, Lee’s wife Kwon (50) changed her and her ninth grade daughter’s address from apartment W to apartment G in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul in August 1998.

“G apartment belongs to Kwon’s friend, and we falsely transferred the daughter’s address so she would be sent to a good high school,” they acknowledged.

But they also said, “After learning about this, Lee decided that it was something not right to do as a governmental official, and made them transfer back to their original address. They moved back in December before high school allocations started.”
