Donald Trump's kiss

The 30th anniversary of the establishment of East Germany was held on Oct. 7, 1979 in East Berlin. Two old men kissed each other passionately there, in front of many people. They were Soviet Union President Leonid Brezhnev and East German leader Erich Honecker. Freelance photographer Regis Bossu took a photograph of the decisive moment, which later became a symbol of a mighty site of the Cold War and socialism's solid cartel.

The kiss between two powerful men again attracted attention in 1990 at East Berlin, this time through a photo-turned picture. Germany had invited 117 artists in 21 countries to draw paintings on a wall to commemorate the collapse of the Berlin Wall. Russian artist Dmitri Vrubel repainted his Berlin Wall mural showing Brezhnev kissing Honecker, and wrote "My God, Help Me to Survive This Deadly Love" into it. The wall painting them became one of the most famous tourist sites in Berlin Wall.

In the socialist world, it is called a fraternal greeting to hug three times and then do cheek kissing. This originates from a ritual of an Orthodox Church as an expression of a close friendship and ideal sharing. Recently, a wall painting parodying Brezhnev kissing Honecker appeared at a wall in a restaurant in the capital of Lithuania. This was the painting of U.S. Republic Presidential candidate Donald Trump who is far from socialist idealism and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Trump and Putin resemble each other in terms of having a huge ego, being audacious and having a macho image. When Putin praised Trump as a frank and talented person, Trump responded by saying he likes Putin. They seemed to be getting along very well as to show a bromance, which refers to close friendship between two men. Honecker also kissed Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev who had visited to commemorate the 40th anniversary of East Germany regime establishment in 1989, but was expelled in 11 days after ignoring request for opening, while the Berlin Wall also collapsed.
