Asiana Airlines has announced on Sunday that it will pay 5,000 U.S. dollars to all the passengers who were on board when its flight skidded off the runaway on Tuesday at Japan’s Hiroshima airport.

“We have decided to provide all the affected passengers with the temporary compensation of 5,000 dollars, which can be spent in minimizing any inconvenience caused by the accident,” posted the carrier on its website in Japanese.

Sources from the company say that the temporary compensation is not related with actual and specific damages caused, adding that the process for determining damage compensation settlement will be separately taken place. There were 73 passengers on board and 25 received minor injuries who were sent to hospitals before going for their destinations.
