Military Bunker besides Sungnyemun

An underground bunker is discovered by the Cultural Heritage Administration yesterday after the stonewall around the burned Sungnyemun is dismantled prior to restoration work. Protruding gun barrels were found, along with one military flashlight and three signboards inside used to keep track of the bunker’s condition. An official said, “The bunker might have been built after the Korean War. We will measure and record the bunker prior to dismantlement.”
