The government and the Uri Party have decided to propel the adoption of a people`s litigation system. Through this system, people can sue the public service personnel of the central government and local autonomous entities.

They also agreed to introduce a revised bill on the organic law of public fund management that restricts public funds and pension from being invested in stocks to the new National Assembly this June. However, they couldn’t reach a conclusion about the draft of a revised supplementary budget for the stabilization of the people`s livelihood as the Uri Party and the Ministry of Planning and Budget had different opinions.

Majority floor leader Kim Keun-tae, Policy Board Chairman Chung Sye Kyun, and Planning and Budget Minister Kim Byung-il had a meeting between the government and the administrative party to discuss policies for business recovery and the stabilization of the people`s livelihood on April 30.

If the National Assembly passes the bill, public funds, including the national pension, can be invested without restriction.

The majority floor leader Kim Keun-tae insisted on the drafting of a revised supplementary budget by saying, “Tax or currency policies are not enough. We need financial policy now.” However, Planning and Budget Minister Kim Byung-il said, “If we allow 56 percent of the supplementary budget until June, it means there are four to five trillion won of additional budget will be in the market compared with the same period of last year. It’s better to wait and see the flow of economy.”
