As Roh Moo-Hyun, Presidential candidate of Millennium Democratic Party (MDP) officially revealed to promote reformation, people pay attention to it.
In addition, candidate Rhee In-Je side is raising inquiry about identification of MDP, saying, “we are concerned about MDP becoming the radical left”.
The kernel, why candidate Roh is resisting political reformation is to recruit members from Grand National Party (GNP) in order to make ruling party majority under the excuse of “we reform political structure by policy and ideology”.
In conclusion, political reformation what candidate Roh urges has no difference to the previous political artificial reformation in which the ruling party used to `pull out` members from the opposition party by purpose, in order to grasp national affairs.
We have seen several times `migratory bird` politicians who shift from opposition to the ruling party even after current government resumes office.
We experienced the abnormal situation that national affairs of `small ruling party, big opposition` turns into `big ruling party, small opposition` suddenly regardless of people`s will.
Such artificial political reformation is the behavior to betray people`s intention, at first.
If the seat that people elected through election is manipulated by party`s interest, how can we believe representative government?
Candidate Roh says that national consensus regarding political reformation is getting formed.
However, what is the genuineness of national consensus that candidate Roh says?
Party register of members is a promise between members and voters.
How on earth, the consensus formed on the behavior breaks such promise one-sidedly?
Candidate Roh says that he will reform politics from regional centered to policy centered.
It is heard as if it is right externally, however, when previous ruling party made `the body` big, it displayed political development and reformation always.
Moreover, what we are interested in is policy and ideology of MDP which candidate Roh is thinking about.
Candidate Rhee said on candidate Roh, “MDP is not the ruling party to promote radical reformation but the ruling party to speak for interest of middle class”.
Candidate Roh should state his plans more clearly on this kind of argument.
