The National Intelligence Service (NIS) regretfully admitted yesterday that the former NIS, National Security Agency, distorted and hid `the affair of the attempted kidnapping of Yoon Tae-Shik to the North who was living Hong Kong` in 1987.

The NIS revealed in a press source titled `the NIS`s position on some press reports of Susie Kim Affair` ,``The NIS regret that `the Susie Kim Affair` was distorted and covered up by the National Security Agency in 1987.``

And the NIS announced that it would carry out a thorough investigation to find out the truth and the responsible persons with regard to the affair, and would try to proscribe the reoccurrence of such a mishap.

As the prosecutor`s reinvestigation on the 14-year-old affair revealed that Yoon murdered his wife Kim Ok-Bun (alias Susie Kim) and covered it up as an attempted kidnapping to the north, much suspicion has been raised with regard to the possibility of manipulation by the National Security Agency.

Through internal investigation on this affair, the NIS confirmed the fact that the former National Security Agency ignored Yoon`s statement that he murdered his wife Susie Kim in order to fabricate it as the attempted kidnapping to the north.
