4th working-level military talks due Wednesday

South and North Korea will hold their fourth round of working-level military talks at Freedom House in the southern region of the truce village of Panmunjom Wednesday to discuss the issue of military support for reconnection work on the Kyongui Railroad Line and related roads.

The chief delegates of the two sides are expected to sign a provisional agreement called ``joint DMZ regulations¡¯¡¯ on the rules governing soldiers and workers in the parts of the demilitarized zone (DMZ) through which the Kyongui Line passes.

A formal agreement is expected to take place in the upcoming defense ministers¡¯ talks to be held in the North. During Wednesday¡¯s working-level meeting, the South plans to propose that the 2nd defense ministers¡¯ talks be held around the middle of February.
