New Year Concert will span 2 days

The New Year Concert of the Seoul Arts Center that began in 1990 will open the d

oor to 2001. Seasoned performers who have been active both at home and abroad wi

ll combine with established amateur musicians will be featured in the concert to

be held Jan. 1 and 2.

In the first day¡¯s concert, to begin at 6 p.m., the Korean Symphony Orchestra w

ill present Beethoven¡¯s Triple Concerto with violinist Kang Dong-Suk, cellist C

ho Young-Chang and pianist Paik Hye-Sun.

The second day¡¯s concert, starting at 7 p.m., will feature KBS Symphony Orchest

ra performing Mozart¡¯s Piano Concerto No. 23 with pianist Helen Hwang of Chines

e origin, and Hong Su-Jin will present Wieniavsky¡¯s Faust Fantasy.
