Choi Jae-Bong wins World Cup speed skating

Choi Jae-Bong, 20, of Dankook University, the rising star in Korean speed skating, proved his indefinite potential in the 2000 World Cup speed skating event at the Taenung Ice Rink, in which most of the world¡¯s superstars got together. Choi won his first World Cup title by finishing first in the 1,000-meter event Saturday in 1 minute, 11.64 seconds.
