A ceremony to celebrate the memory of Chon Tae-Il, who burnt himself to death to demand rights for workers in 1970, was held at his grave in Moran Park in Kyonggi-do, Monday, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of his death.

Some 300 people attended the rite, including his mother, his sister, now undergoing a doctorate course in Britain, members of Samdong-hoe, a labor group, and members of the committee for the project to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Chon¡¯s death.
