Seo Taiji is seriously considering entering the Japanese market. The pop idol went to Japan Oct. 21 for a 3-day trip with Yanggoon Music CEO Yang Hyun-Suk and his manager, Lee Sang-Chul, to make preliminary preparations for his advance into Japan.

A Yanggoon Music employee remarked, "Discussions are being held on Seo Taiji entering the Japanese market but nothing has been confirmed so far. His advance into Japan will take shape once his domestic engagements are finished."

Seo Taiji's move into Japan has been on the boiler since he released 'Hayoga' in 1993. At the time, Seo Taiji and the Boys were considered to be an energetic shock to the Japanese music scene and a Japanese fan club was even organized. In view of the fact that a new homepage opened in Japan after Seo's comeback announcement, the base for his entry into the Japanese market seems to have been made.

In an interview with Dong-a Ilbo last month, Seo said of entering the overseas market, "I will just have to sing in English. The issue is being competitive."
