President Kim nominated for Nobel peace prize

Norway¡¯s NTB reported that 150 people around the world, including president Kim Dae-Jung, have been nominated for the Nobel peace prize this year.

NTB reported that President Kim is being highly praised for his serious efforts in his term to promote peace on the Korean peninsula, which has been plagued with tension since the Korean War (1950-1953) ended in a truce agreement, In addition to the South Korean President, President Bill Clinton of the United States, former president of the United States Jimmy Carter and the Salvation Army are nominated for the Nobel peace prize.

The winner of the prize will be announced on October 13.
