Unification Minister Park Jae-Kyu, who is also chief Seoul delegate to the inter-Korean ministerial talks, has proposed to North Korea to hold working-level contacts between the two Koreas at the truce village of Panmunjeom at 10 p.m. on September 7.

The working-level meeting is to address the issues of re-connecting the Seoul-Sinuiju Railway and constructing a new highway between South`s Munsan and North`s Gaeseong, the minister disclosed.

In a telephone message to his North Korean counterpart Jon Kum-Jin on September 5, the chief South Korean delegate proposed that the working-level talks be represented by vice minister-level officials from each side with five members and some attendants.

Minister Park expressed hope that the two Koreas, at the working-level talks, will reach agreements on the joint implementation of the two projects and other problems of mutual concern.
