Korean Air has made a final selection of the plane for the scheduled returns of the two delegations for the family reunions. The airline has publicized the meals, snacks and souvenirs that will be offered to passengers.

The plane that will be used to carry passengers to and from Kimpo and Sunan airports will be an A330-200 Airbus, a new line of passenger planes. The craft has a passenger capacity of 258 and was purchased in March last year.

The airliner has been put through a thorough safety inspection and has been fitted with emergency medical equipment capable of handling heart attack victims.

A press conference was held with pilot Kim Hong-Soon, who has logged 13,000 flight hours without a single mishap, and about 10 crew members. "We will provide service unequaled in order to accommodate the members of the delegations, who are mostly of advanced ages," KAL president Shim Ie-Take, 61, said.
