The 2000 Pusan International Fantastic Animation Festival will run Friday through July 30 at the Pusan Citizens` Hall.
Under the theme of "Sea, Dream and Future," the festival will feature about 80 animation works created in 10 countries, including Japan and China.
In particular, "Pocket Monster," which was a sensational sensation in the United States last year, and China`s "Poryon" will be screened for the first time in Korea.
Russian director Alexander Pedrov`s "Mermaid" also will be shown amid concerns among film fans.
