Korea has begun to attract attention and interest by world-renowned international companies as a production base.

The foreign companies that have industrial facilities in Korea are using them as springboards for the production of export goods to China and Southeast Asia. In case of the Japanese companies, they are looking to utilize the production capability in Korea to provide goods to be exported throughout the world.

Underlying the current trend is a strategic alliance for the synergetic benefit of the foreign companies merging their forward marketing and management theories and brand recognition with the advanced technological prowess of the Korean industries.

In the light of the explosive expansion of the market into Asia in the 21st century, Korea holds an advantageous strategic location backed up by highly skilled labor force riding on advanced industrial infrastructure, thus making Korea a highly prized location for the upcoming entrance to the Asian market.
