Drunken men arrested for sexual assaults on the roads

Police in Seoul said Thursday that it was investigating singer Kim Sang-hyeok, 30, a former member of boy band Click-B, on charges of sexual assault.

According the Gangnam Police Station in southern Seoul, Kim allegedly approached a woman in her early 20s and forcibly grabbed her wrist while walking in the Nonhyeon-dong area in southern Seoul under the influence of alcohol. The woman called the police immediately. Kim returned home early Thursday morning after claiming that he did not remember what he did because he was intoxicated.

In a separate case, police arrested an executive at a small construction company also on charges of sexual assault. According to the police, a 59-year-old man who was walking in Dangsan-dong in southwestern Seoul around 11:00 p.m. on February 26 under the influence of alcohol pushed his mistress on the knees, unzipped his pants and forced her to perform oral sex. As she strongly resisted, he masturbated. The woman filed a lawsuit against him on March 11 since the man refused to apologize for his acts. The Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul said Thursday that it detained him on charges of sexual assault.
