Heavy snow alert

Even freezing weather of winter is welcome news for children in rural regions, who enjoy snow. Students at Hoenggye Elementary School in the township of Doam of Pyeongchang County, Gangwon Province, hold a snowball fight Friday. The Korea Meteorological Administration issued heavy snowfall alerts in 11 cities and counties in the province, forecasting 5-20 centimeters of snow through Saturday for mountainous regions.
