The centennial anniversary of the birth of Yoon Bong-gil was celebrated on June 21 at the Dong-A Ilbo main hall in Jongro-gu, Seoul, with 300 participants, including independence leader Kim Guk-ju. Yoon Bong-gil, who was a member of the Korean resistance movement fighting the Japanese occupation of Korea, was involved in a bombing attempt to assassinate the Japanese Emperor in Shanghai in 1932.
