“Tank” Choi Kyung-ju (Choi K.J., Nike Golf) has successfully secured his solo lead for two consecutive days and taken a step closer to his first championship title on the season.

Choi K.J. had the sole lead in the Chrysler Championship on October 29 at Westin Innisbrook GC (Par 71) in Palm Harbor, Florida with a nine-under-par 204 midgame score by saving one more shot during the third round with hard winds gusting up to 40km per hour.

While being trailed by the joint-second group of Ernie Els (South Africa), Brian Gay (U.S.A), and Paul Goydos (U.S.A) by a meager shot, he showed his confidence since he won the trophies in all three U.S.A PGA tour games where he started the last round with the lead. Coincidently, Choi picked up the 2002 Tampa Bay Classic title that was held in the same tour course.

If he collects the Chrysler Championship title, the victory will pad his lead on the top 30 money list and guarantee the ticket to the all-star Tour Championship game this weekend.
