President Vladimir Putin`s representative to the Far East, Konstantin Pulikovsky (58), returned to his position as head of the federal service of ecological, technical, and atomic supervision, a ministerial position.

Pulikovsky was recently appointed as the Russian head of the South Korea-Russia commission on economics, science, and technology, and the North-Korea-Russia commission on economics. He commenced official duties related to Korea on March 27 after delivering an opening speech at the seventh Korea-Russia forum held at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Moscow.

Pulikovsky has close ties with both North and South Korea, and is expected to play a role in pursuing economic trilateral cooperation initiatives linking the two Koreas and Russia.
