North Korea has categorically rejected the acceptance of the UN’s resolution of human rights for North Korea which was adopted at the 60th UN human rights committee, which was held at Geneva, Switzerland on April 15.

In advance of voting the resolution on this day, North Korea’s deputy chief of human right section in foreign ministry, Jung Sung-il, in the capacity of the concerned country, has remarked that “This resolution, in which the EU took initiative in suggestion, is a product of political machination. The contents and the formalities of the resolution contain an unprecedented intervention over the domestic affairs of North Korea.”

On the resolution adopted by the human rights committee on this day, “We are really anxious about the rumor that in North Korea, the practice of serious human rights offense such as torture, public execution, infanticide in concentration camps, restriction of informational access, and compelled child abortion is carried out in a large scale.”

“What about the U.S.’s assault against Iraq, which is illegal and has killed a lot of innocent people?,” refuted Jung, adding “EU’s taciturnity toward the state of human rights in Iraq is a good example that shows well about the EU”s hypocrisy.”

In addition, “EU has destroyed the foundation of the human rights committee’s confidence by adopting the resolution, and cornered North Korea to the irrecoverable state of quagmire. We will not allow EU to intervene any of the governmental system of our country,” added Jung.
