A survey team’s overland visit to Mt. Geumgang is scheduled on the 5th and 6th.

For this visit, Hyundai Asan asked the prosecution a departure permit for Chariman of Hyundai-Asan Executive Board Chung Monghun and the president of Hyundai-Asan Kim Ungyu.

Hyundai Asan explained on the 3rd, “We notified North Korea working-level inspection for the 5th and 6th, which delayed one day. We are planning first exhibition trip on the 14th.”

A person from Hyundai Asan explained about its ask for the departure permit and said, “If Mr. Chung could not participate in this inspection visit, we have to rearrange our schedule. We expect the judicial authorities should consider this situation in a wider view.”

It is reported that the prosecution will take Hyundai’s ask positively.

In spokesman’s statement on the 31st, North Korea`s Asia Pacific Peace Commission proposed Mr. Chung and Mr. Kim to pass the Military Demarcation Line in the occasion of the inspection visit and the exhibition tour.

If Mr. Chung could participate in this inspection, he plans to meet officials of Asia Pacific Peace Commission and talk over the ground breaking ceremony of Gaesung Industrial Complex, the ceremony for the completion of Pyongyang gymnasium and detailed stipulations for Geumgang and Gaesung special districts.

About 100 people including government officials and participants of Hyundai tour will participate in this visit, which will not be open to the press. The participants will gather on CIQ in Gosung, Kangwon Province on the 5th and pass the Military Demarcation Line on buses.
