Co-investigation History Committee of Korea – Japan Inaugurated.

Both governments of Korea and Japan inaugurated publicly `Korea-Japan co-investigating history committee` on 5th , in which 10 specialists in history from each country will join for solving out the matter of distorted history text book in Japan.

The first meeting is going to be held next month, if it is early.

Government authorities said, “government decided to establish Korea-Japan co-investigating history committee, which will take charge of investigating history and support committee that will support it at the level of government respectively” and “both governments will utilize achievements of investigation in a direction that is compatible to the goal of co-investigation within the range that is allowed by each system.”

He added, “ though inauguration of it doesn`t solve the matter of distorted history text books in Japan, it would be the starting point of the solution.”

The venture of Korea- Japan co-investigating history is second time following `Korea –Japan promoting history investigation co-committee` that operated for a short time in 1998.
